Our Mission

Nothing compares to the opportunity we had to serve the people of Spain as representatives of our Savior Jesus Christ.

  • This weekend we celebrate the resurrected, living Christ 🙏🏼
We gather, we worship, we reverence the gift of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and this sacred, timeless miracle in our lives.
Because of Him, we can be with our loved ones again. Because of Him, we can be forgiven of our sins. Because of Him, we can start over.
I am a living witness of His love in my life each day.
If it’s been a while since you’ve been to church, come worship with us 🙏🏼
We’ll partake of the sacrament, sing hymns, and listen to messages about our Savior❤️
Come as you are.
It doesn’t matter if you are in Bountiful, UT; or A Coruña, Spain, the meetinghouse locator link for finding the church closest to you is in my profile.
Happy Easter my friends🙏🏼❤️

  • Comment “ham” for full recipe🍽️
For delicious juicy ham, remember, most hams are already fully cooked, you’re only warming it up a bit🧑🏻‍🍳

Top tips for preparing a spiral cut ham:
1. Let the ham sit on counter uncovered for 1.5 hours before placing in oven.
1. Throw away the glaze packet and make your own!
2. Fan out the pieces so the ham heats up evenly.
3. Secure end piece so it doesn’t dry out.
4. Bake with a little water inside of sealed pan.
5. Remove all liquid from pan after initial bake, brush on additional glaze and pop back into oven for a few minutes. Brush one more time just before serving.

  • Over the past few years, I’ve learned about honoring and reverencing the events that lead up to Easter Sunday. Many refer to this as “Holy Week”.

Elder Gary Stevenson shared the following comments on Easter worship…
“I observe a growing effort among Latter-day Saints toward a more Christ-centered Easter. This includes a greater and more thoughtful recognition of Palm Sunday and Good Friday as practiced by some of our Christian cousins.” He encouraged us to consider to “adopt appropriate Christ-centered Easter traditions found in the cultures and practices of countries worldwide.”

🙏🏼 I love this special time of year and the opportunity to focus on the life, sacrifice and resurrected living Christ. Because of Jesus, we can move beyond mistakes, repent and be forgiven. My life is a testimony of these teachings ❤️

Do you celebrate Holy Week?
I’d love to hear your traditions (old and new) in the comments below🙏🏼

  • One of the things I treasure most at this stage of my life is time with my mother. Someday in the not too distant future, she will move on to the next chapter of her life…

Some of the most cherished memories I have with my mom were made in the kitchen. I watched as she made full Thanksgiving dinners, and spreads of Japanese dishes for family and friends. Now, the table has turned, and I have the privilege of cooking for her 🥹

Many of those recipes and traditions are a part of our family food story. How grateful I am that my mom taught me years ago how to make okazu, tofu, and her famous fried rice! And I’m so grateful we recorded her recipes at that time! 📖

Our food stories are such an important part of our family history. Most of our gatherings, celebrations, and even our mourning include sharing recipes we love 💕

Have you recorded your family food story??
