  1. This reminds me of the Dodo house salad. I use the old junior league heritage cookbook recipe. I am going to try yours. I love the addition of the honey.

  2. I love the Dodo's house salad, and this sounds a lot like it, only more delicious! I'm making it for part of our Mother's Day dinner…
Thanks for sharing and Happy Mother's Day!

This salad is one of my favorite go-to recipes, especially when I am feeding a large group. With the exception of swiss cheese, I typically have all of these ingredients on hand. It is simple to make and a total crowd-pleaser. The dressing is delicious and pairs well with many different salads (arugula, mixed greens, spinach). Make it! I promise you will love it!

This is my extended family’s go to recipe. The big guys can copy it, but your recipe is the one to follow.
I just made it this afternoon.

  5. Hi. How many does this recipe serve? I’m making for a group of 23 people… should I double recipe? Excited to make this!

    1. Hi Maria!
If you 1½ times the salad recipe, it should serve 23 people nicely. The dressing recipe should be enough without doubling it.
      Enjoy! Thanks for reading ABK.
