Why this is the best holiday dessert…
Last year I made several batches. Served them all season long 🧑🏼‍🎄
Found a few wrapped up months later in my freezer. Took them out, let thaw and they tasted just as good as the day they were baked!
Here’s the plan:
🎄Make a double batch this week.
🎄Cut, freeze and then wrap in an air tight container.
🎄Remove as you need for dessert.
All.
Month.
Long.
The secret 🤫 don’t over bake the brownie layer!
Get ready for layers of homemade brownie, peppermint bark squares, topped with pink peppermint white chocolate frosting. This will be your new favorite Christmas tradition.

I’ve been making pie since 1981.
I’ve taught classes for years and made hundreds of pies.

Most are pretty enough to photograph. But some (made 2 weeks ago) turn out like this one.

Life is like that sometimes. You try your hardest and things happen. Remember, it’s just flour, water, fat and salt. If it doesn’t turn out the way you hoped no. big. deal.

Life is a lot like pie making. It doesn’t always turn out the way you planned. But if you keep trying, you’ll learn along the way, and become better because of those bumps in your path 🥧

We have the amazing opportunity to serve with the

We have the amazing opportunity to serve with the young adults age 18-31 in our church congregation. Many of our young friends are professionals. Some are students. Some in between job and school or do both. They live on their own, or with roommates or with their families.

As we have grown to love hundreds of young adults, I’ve observed this…

They love without boundaries. They want to gather. They make time to worship. They make mistakes but are trying to learn from mistakes to grow closer to Jesus. They are committed to making covenants with God. They look for reasons to keep covenants. They love to serve. They come because they want to. They listen and follow thru with impressions that they receive. They love to learn. They laugh and give hugs and smiles, even when their hearts are broken, or are filled with disappointment, because they are looking outward, instead of inward. They feel deeply about the Savior and want to follow Him. Their love for Jesus is inspiring.

If you’re a young person who feels like you don’t belong or it’s been too long since you’ve walked thru the doors of a chapel, know that you are not alone. The person you sit next to at church probably feels the same way, to some degree.

I invite you to say a prayer, follow your heart, and gather the courage to come join us. Come and see ♥️
