First, pick a rainy day. 😂 not really. But does First, pick a rainy day. 😂 not really. But doesn’t rain or snow put you in the mood to bake??

3 tips for making the best granola:
1. Don’t crowd the pan. Avoid loading too many ingredients into one pan, or you’ll likely end up with a soggy mess and/or granola that takes a long time to cook.
2. Stay close. Don’t set the timer and take off to clean the garage 😅 Granola can go from no color to burnt in a matter of minutes!
3. If you want big clumps of granola, use a little less of the oats or museli and let the mixture cool completely after baking. This allows the granola to cool into large pieces.

This recipe for Foster family favorite granola is found online at my link in profile or in the ABK Cookbook on page 49 😊

We discovered this dessert when we visited the Basque Country🇪🇸 this summer. It has the most incredible creamy custard-like texture. So easy to make, not overly sweet, and only 5 ingredients! Best served warm or at room temperature.

After attending the Jubilee even last night with 8 After attending the Jubilee even last night with 800 women from around the country, I thought about my spiritual journey. Where I came from, and how to keep moving forward…

When I first moved to Utah in 1981 as an 18 year old, it was a surreal experience for me. I had long been drawn spiritually to this beautiful place where my ancestors settled in the late 1800s.

I marveled at how many members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints lived in Utah. It felt like coming home. I was surrounded by people who believed as I did, and role models for how I wanted to pattern my life as an adult, wife and a parent.

As with most stories, there are two sides. I never considered how it might feel to be a person who was not a member of my church living in Utah. For a long time as I enjoyed my newfound home, I wasn’t very considerate of people who worshipped differently than me. It seemed like an~ us and them~ attitude. We knew the truth, and they did not. We had the “right” Bible, and they did not. The list goes on… My attitude in the 80’s and 90’s was a bit closed minded. I didn’t think of how it might have felt to be on the other side of the chapel doors on Sunday, and every other day.

All of that started to change for me about 10 years ago. My spiritual focus, whether at home or in the temple, shifted to learning more about the Savior. What are His ways? What does He teach? How can His teachings change me? It’s still a daily challenge for me to align what I learn with how I live my life…

In this process I’ve observed women who love Jesus Christ, and attend churches different than my own. Some of their practices have changed my life. What used to seem irreverent, is now comforting and sacred. Their love for the Savior and His sacrifice is deeply felt and generously shared. I’m touched by the way these certain women of faith extend love to me, even though we worship differently. They figured out long ago that we are connected through being His children and being rooted in the love of God🙏🏼

Thank you @multiplygoodness for this beautiful event that connects women of faith and helps us to remember we are more alike than we are different ❤️
