Are you gathering with family and friends for LDS General Conference weekend? If you are like us, most likely food is involved. We have compiled 20+ recipes we love for conference weekend. All of these recipes will feed a crowd and can be prepared in advance. Most important, they are all easy to make and hands-down delicious!

Dinner menu for General Conference
If you love Cafe Rio, you will love all of our make-at-home Favorite Cafe Rio Recipes. From sweet pork to cilantro lime rice, black beans, pico and more, we’ve got you covered! And don’t miss our crowd-favorite recipe for Homemade Cafe Rio Queso.

Instant Pot Chile Verde for everyone including gluten-free to picky eaters. Serve with rice, chips, cheese, tortillas, lettuce, and guacamole or chopped avocado. Your guests will enjoy any combination they choose.

Hawaiian Haystacks You’ll love our homemade creamy chicken sauce – no canned soup here! This is another great meal for selective eaters. Our grandkids love this for dinner. Everyone loads their own plates. Have your guests each bring a few toppings and enjoy this great potluck dinner together!

Family Favorite Chicken Enchiladas or Ground Beef Enchiladas can be prepared days in advance, frozen, and cooked when you’re ready to eat. Delicious served with a green salad and Mexican Street Corn Salad.

Easy Ham and Cheese Sliders are always a hit with kids from 2 to 92! These sandwiches can be made in advance, then drizzled with buttery poppyseed sauce right before baking.

Everyone loves French dip sandwiches with Easy Homemade Au Jus. Find recipes for cooking the pot roast, either in the oven or Instant Pot, in this same link. This is the most tender, fall-apart meat you’ll ever eat in a French Dip! No time to cook meat? Grab some sliced roast beef from the deli, make homemade Au Jus, and impress your guests!

This recipe for the Best Baked Ziti is the perfect meal for a crowd. Each recipe generously feeds 14-16. Baked Ziti can be made 2-3 days ahead and baked on the day of serving OR frozen and baked later – all while you’re listening to conference. Caesar salad or a simple green salad and our ABK Soft Herb Breadsticks (made ahead) create a perfect meal.

Delicious Soups and Salads
A soup and salad buffet is also a great choice if you are feeding a group. Have everyone bring a soup or salad and you provide the bread and dessert. A few of our favorite salads include Erin and Misty’s Basil Couscous Salad (if you haven’t tried this one, I guarantee it will soon be a family favorite), Southwest Salad with Cilantro Honey Lime Dressing, and Chicken, Pear and Smoked Gouda Salad. For soup, we have everything from Instant Pot recipes to chili. Oh, did I mention homemade bread bowls too?!
General Conference Breakfast Recipes

For years, I made waffles with whipped cream and fresh berries every conference weekend. Now, I focus on breakfast or brunch options that are more make-ahead. Overnight Cinnamon Rolls, scrambled eggs, and baked bacon are General Conference recipes we love!

Choose from our wide variety of Cinnamon rolls that can all be made ahead of time. Overnight Croissant Breakfast Bake, Overnight Breakfast Berry Bake with Caramel Syrup, or Hashbrown Breakfast Casserole also make a perfect conference breakfast. 10 Minute Restaurant-Style Salsa is delicious with a savory breakfast casserole. In the morning, just turn on your oven and prepare to enjoy brunch!

Dessert recipes we love for general conference weekend
Don’t forget dessert! Two of my favorite for Conference are Best Texas Sheet Cake Recipe and Quick and Easy Caramel Brownies. Both of these desserts can be made a day ahead, don’t need refrigeration, and travel well if you’re headed to see family or friends!

Don’t forget this historic dessert! Adapted from a recipe Brigham Young’s mother made, our Homemade Buttermilk Donuts is a recipe great for beginners. Create a memorable experience making pioneer donuts together!
Hope you enjoy General Conference weekend!
